About

We are bringing the furry community together in Kansas for fun, creativity, and giving back. Paws And Prairies is designed to create a welcoming space where furries of all ages and backgrounds can hang out, enjoy art shows, panels, a dealers den, and charity events.

We believe in community, creativity, and charity—and want everyone to feel included and safe, no matter who they are. While we’re still searching for the perfect charity to support, we welcome your ideas and suggestions.

Join us next spring as we launch a new tradition celebrating friendship, imagination, and making a difference right here in our local community!

Tanner

Tanner/Star has been a member of the Furry Fandom since 2020.  Starting out by networking in the local area, he helped grow the Northeast Kansas Fur community by hosting meets throughout the KS/MO area and participating in leadership activities for his local fur group, Furries of Lawrence and Topeka (FLT).

He has staffed many diverse events: furcons, scouting, nonprofits, and varying local events, starting as young as 12 years old.  He plans to utilize his experience to enable the staff, event, and organization to be the best it can be, knowing that nothing can ever be perfect.  He is also a student working on his BA in Management and a Minor in Leadership Studies.  He serves as the Convention Chair and President of the Paws and Prairies Organization.

Trash

Allie/Trash the Raccoon is a long time furry, having been active in the fandom since 2003. She moved to Kansas in 2007 and started dipping her paws into the local furry scene, hosting a variety of small meet and attending conventions in neighboring states. Not only has she attended numerous furry conventions, but she has also been a member of staff for Planet Comicon and Planet Anime since 2014, working her way up from Minion to Sidekick and learning the intricacies of convention management and operations.

In 2023 she pioneered the Sunflower Furs, hosting larger free events for the local Kansas and Missouri furry community in hopes of planting the seeds for a furry convention in her own backyard. Now she is proudly the Vice President of Paws & Prairies. She is organized,  responsible, hard working, and enjoys bringing the community together and creating a safe space where all are welcome.

Molin

Molin is a proud Kansas resident, having called the state his home for most of his life, and a member of the furry fandom since 2016. He has made the trek to numerous out-of-state conventions, from Midwest Furfest to AnthroCon, and many others in between. He’s always dreamed of having a home con in the Sunflower State.

Molin enjoys being active in the furry fandom, having his paws in a lot of pies. He currently serves as one of the admins for Furries of Lawrence and Topeka (FLT), the Financial Manager for AnthroExpo, and now our beloved Treasurer for Paws and Prairies.

Molin is driven, kind, and great with numbers, obtaining his BBA in Accounting from Washburn University in 2021. When he isn’t wagging his tail with his friends he can be found behind a large stack of papers, crunching numbers as a Financial Analyst.
